Product
Karasol
Turn a song into a karaoke video with lyrics that light up on the beat.
Status: In Development
— the product is being built and is not generally available yet. When it launches,
the application will live at https://karaoke.thesolane.com.
What it is
Karaoke videos from any song, with the words lit on the beat.
Karasol takes a song you own or are allowed to use, separates the vocals, recognises and times the lyrics, and renders a karaoke video where every word lights up exactly when it is sung. The whole flow — from upload to a finished file — runs in the browser and on The Solane's rendering workers.
The problem it solves
Making a karaoke video by hand means timing hundreds of words against the music in a video editor. Karasol does the timing automatically and leaves you with the only part that needs a human: checking the words and nudging the few that are off.
How it works
Five steps, one file out
-
Upload
Upload a song. Karasol separates the vocals from the music so the lyrics can be timed against the voice.
-
Transcribe
The lyrics are recognised and timed automatically, word by word, in Vietnamese or English.
-
Fix
Correct any word and nudge its timing in the browser editor while the song plays.
-
Style
Pick a background, a colour and a layout — landscape, portrait or square.
-
Render
Render a video where each word lights up exactly on the beat, ready for TV, YouTube or a phone.
Part of The Solane
Karasol signs you in with your Solane Account, the same account used across every product by The Solane. Your songs, lyrics and videos stay inside Karasol; the account only carries who you are.
Rendering is paid per video through Solane Payment. Uploading, editing and previewing are free, so you only pay once the lyrics are the way you want them.
Rights
Your song, your responsibility
Karasol processes the audio you upload and nothing else. You must hold the rights to use the song, or be covered by a licence, before rendering a video from it. The Solane does not publish, share or resell anything you upload.
